About the Artist: Charlie was born in the bush at Palipalintjanya north west of Jupiter Well. The NT Welfare Branch bought him and his family to Papunya in 1960. He began painting for Papunya Tula Artists in 1978. He then moved to Kintore in 1982 where he still resides with his family
