About the Artist: Dinny grew up in the bush with his family and already had been initiated when the group walked into Balgo in the late 50’s. While visiting relatives in Papunya, he observed the old men painting during the 70’s. His older brother Anatjari Tjampitjinpa was one of the original groups of Papunya artists.
Dinny started painting in 1981, although he did not paint in Balgo he was influenced by the Balgo style of joining the dots around the Tingari.
